AWFFull v3.7.1 Released!
Submitted by Steve on October 14, 2006 - 3:13pm.
Despite being delayed by a Crayon Incident [1] this morning, I've at long last managed to finally release v3.7.1 final!
The changes from beta3 are purely in documentation, spelling mistakes mainly.
The changes from 3.6.1 are fairly substantial:
- Add support for the GeoIP API's for country detection
- Display Country Flags for additional prettiness
- A few backend fixes for stability, speed and correctness.
Enjoy! AWFFull v3.7.1
[1] Stopping the first incident with a 3yo who has access to crayons from drawing on the walls is right up there with Stopping The Tide, IMHO. Note for other parents who have not yet experienced this delight: WD40 is a great remover.
What you're not seeing is the additonal 6 large concentric rings of (pretty good actually!) circles on several other walls. I thought he was a bit quiet....

Coloring on the walls...
Go to your local service bureau that has a few large (50+ inches) wide printers and ask them for the remaining paper on the rolls. Usually by the time we get to within 10 feet left on the roll, it gets trashed. Why? Because for the amount of printing that we do, it's too short. Or, if we have a roll that's been sitting on the shelf for too long (3 to 6 months on average,) it also gets trashed.
When my daughter was younger, we used the paper to cover the hallway walls and she was taught to only color where there's paper. Took her all of about 5 minutes to learn to use the paper. After a few days, we'd take it down and tape up another piece. Talk about a 50 inches x 12 feet canvas for a little tyke.
And if you can't find any ... well, I guess it might be a tad too expensive to ship some to you. :) Sorry.

Thanks Ashley - I'll keep that in mind!
We've (currently) gone down the "discipline" path. Tho I did have to remove myself from the room and LOL in private after getting him to pick up the crayons and put them away. I'd taken a series of photos of his handiwork - including the posed one - by that stage. Took 'em to show to a sleeping-in wife who also had a good laugh.
Then grabbed his painting easel and set up a fresh page for him to draw on while I cleaned the walls.
I think he's got the message. "Whatcha doin Dad?" cleaning *your* mess. "Ok. Bye Dad." Bye Corbin. :-)
Haven't tried removing the additional drawing on the carpet yet...
