Couple of bug fixes backport'ed from trunk, and we have a new release of AWFFull!

AWFFull v3.10.2!

Fixes to the Daily Average that... erm... wasn't averaging ; and some issues with "dump"ing Search Strings or Agents.

Yay. A year since the last stable release and finally, AWFFull v3.9.1 is out.

Heaps of changes since v3.8.2; just a couple of minor fixes since v3.9.1-beta3. Check out the Changes for the details.

The big add since v3.8.2 is Segmentation. Simple at this stage - is a starter to really go crazy, but it's now there.

Kinda funny how it happened. Don was (still is) running a Poll on "How do you market your FOSS project". I replied a bit on the sorts of things I've been doing over the years.

Anyway, he contacted me offline, a few chats and then he asked if I'd answer a few questions. What you see is the result.

Now to go and see just what sort of quality traffic Don and Blue-GNU were able to send my way!

For the reasons stated above, the court concludes that Novell is the owner of the UNIX and UnixWare copyrights.

I first met Brian in the early 90's. I had very recently started working for Defence Security Branch (DSB). He was in charge of the IT Centre at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) here in Canberra.

He and his team had designed and built one of the earliest proxying firewalls that would be used by the Department of Defence to protect their networks. Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) had also built something similar, but that was in South Australia.

My then boss, Col Hale, and myself did a site visit over the hill at Russell to check it all out and so on.
I can still picture Brian's office as it then was, 15+ years later. Every possible horizontal surface had a stack of paper about 20-30 cm high. A filling method I've managed to emulate despite my best efforts otherwise. Saved only by not needing to print out as much.

It's been much delayed, but about 2 weeks ago version 3.8.1-beta1 of AWFFull was released.

Lots of changes in this one. The biggies of note are:

• A series of "at a glance" viewable Analytics to the monthly reports, based on published metrics and ratios: Stickiness; Single Access; and Popularity.
• Minor additions to the monthly summary reports.
• Removal of the bookmarks feature due to increasing inaccuracy.
• Deprecation of some less useful configuration options.
• Lots of back end code changes to ease maintenance effort

I've done the initial rejigging of the AWFFull web pages and added a few new demonstrations of AWFFull's capabilities as part of this release.

Been more than a bit slack with getting photos up lately. So here's a burst from April through July this year.

Mostly of Corbin. Dur. Who else...

The last three were taken on the weekend just gone. Up on top of the hill just behind our place. For those non-Australians, yes we really have seen Kangaroos there. Was about 2 years ago now, and they were about 5-10 metres away from us as the three of us walked around the area. With all the construction around there since, pretty fair to state that they are unlikely to be there again. Still. There are heaps down on the golf course below. All the common Eastern Grey that is so prevelant across the ACT.
